Strangely on the Antelope, you specifically have to switch to the built in input (or output), setting no driver and then switch to the Orion doesn't do the trick. When that crashed, it crashed completely and only power cycling the device would help. Ok, I never had that with the Motu 828 MK3 I was using before (which was pretty stable generally, as well, but the Orion was a big step up in terms of conversion quality). I often have to reset the ins and outs on the symphony. I feel like i bought a very expensive paper weight.īlungo2 wrote:I think that Ableton bug is with every interface.

Their tech support consists of repeatedly telling me to re install the software. Yes, it seems they've abandoned the "old" symphony. I used time machine to go back in time to before i installed the version of maestro that's supposed to be compatible with sierra.
Good to hear that the Antelope stuff work with Sierra and thunderbolt! I think that Ableton bug is with every interface. But that has been there on El Capitan, too.)ĭidn't Apogee more or less cease support for the old Symphony with new OS? I think I remember something when the Symphony MK2 came out. (There's a bug in Ableton where you have to select the built in in/outputs each time Ableton is started again, and then switch back to the Orion, they don't talk to each other at first. 2013 Macbook Pro, using Thunderbolt (haven't tried USB with it).
